Wow! Where do I even begin? This week has been full of joy, excitement, community, and also some hard trials and road blocks. Training camp was nothing like I thought it would be. I was so fearful that I would have a lot of anxiety going into camp but the Lord filled me with a peace that passes all understanding and it has been one of the biggest things that I have been grateful for this week.

Even though I had an amazing amount of peace about being here, that doesnโ€™t mean that the enemy has not been trying to attack my team and I. There have been hard moments. Hard things to ponder and some things that the Lord is teaching me to be aware of.

Most of training camp has been focused on developing our faith so that we are ready to be sent to the nations. It has consisted of lectures, community prayer, reflection, worship, some physical trials, but most of all building relationships with the people I will spend the next 9 months with.

Throughout this week I have been praying and reflecting on how I can open up my whole heart to the Lord so that my cup is overflowing with his love, compassion, kindness, and humility. I am a person who loves a good step by step process on how to do things so figuring out how to open my whole heart up to the Lord has been a healthy challenge for me.

We still have 2 more days at training camp and then we will be sent to Adrian Georgia for our domestic ministry to help with building a new base for Adventures in Missions. After that we will come back to training camp and have a small debrief for about 4 days and then we will be sent to Jamaica!

Prayer requests:

  • Pray that the Lord would open my whole heart to Him so that He can use every part of me to spread the gospel to the nations.

  • Pray against any spiritual warfare happening in my squad.

  • Pray that during these last 2 days at training camp that my team would grow closer to each other and that the Lord would be present in every moment.

Thank you for reading my blog and wanting to be a part of what the Lord is doing while I am on this journey!
