“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.” - Psalm 139: 1-4
I am sure most of you know this verse like it’s the back of your hand and have probably prayed it several times in your life. I have pondered this verse and prayed it over myself for the past few months. I always prayed these words… “Lord, search me and know me.” I would pray these words over and over again and then I went to the exact verse and read it and was astonished at what the Lord revealed to me. He HAS searched me and he DOES know me! Instead of praying that he would search me and know me I should have been rejoicing that he already does! As my Father he knows all the in and outs of my life. From every emotion I feel to the number of hairs on my head. He knows EVERYTHING about me. So why was I constantly praying that he would search me and know me? Maybe it’s because I didn’t have a clear vision of my identity and who I was. I was doubting my identity in Christ and that was what had me on my knees praying that He would know me. It was because I wanted to know me. Then I started struggling with the question of how I become aware of what my identity is. It has been through constant prayer and obedience that He is slowly revealing my identity and who I am when I abide in Him.
There have been some exciting things happening during my time preparing to launch into the field. Let’s walk through it one by one.

I AM 50% FUNDED!! The Lord has been answering prayers again and again and I am so astonished to see how He shows up when I step into obedience! Fundraising has not been an easy journey but it has taught me a lot about obedience and what it looks like to walk through a door when the Lord opens it. He does not fail to finish the work he has started and that has been very clear to me these past couple of weeks! I am so thankful for all the people who have come alongside me both financially and through prayer. I am so thankful for my church who was willing and able to help me reach my 50% goal! I am also so thankful for my parents and the people that they put me in front of to share the work that the Lord is doing in my life and seek support through prayer and donations!

WE HAVE OUR OFFICIAL SQUAD LETTER/COLOR!! Okay this is not as exciting as the first but we are officially S squad and our squad color is yellow!!! (I know most of you don’t really care for this information but its exciting nonetheless)

I AM GOING TO JAMAICA!!!! New country unlock!! My squad is now going to Jamaica to help with disaster relief from hurricane Mellisa. They were in need of hands to help with all the destruction that came with the hurricane and thankfully we have many hands that are ready and able to serve in the places where it is needed. None of us expected this new addiction to the route but I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for us in Jamaica!
I have been in the process of figuring out financial stuff and packing for this trip and it has been a little more complicated than expected. I am so so so excited for this journey ahead of me and so excited to see what the Lord has planned for my team and I.
Here are a few prayer requests to wrap up this post:
-
Pray that I would gain monthly supporters so I can focus on ministry and not fundraising while on the field.
-
Pray that the Lord would protect me and my team both physically and spiritually as we prepare for this trip. The enemy is going to want to attack us, especially before we leave, so please be praying that we would be strong and fight against the enemies attacks.
-
Pray for me as I am figuring out how to pack all of the things I need to bring. The Lord knows I am an over packer so pray that he would give me a spirit of peace as I pack everything.
Thank you all for reading my blog!! Stay tuned for the next one! (I will be posting them every Tuesday. The day might change when on the field but I will keep y’all updated on that)
